At 13:05, the groups began their presentations before the jury, made up of prominent professionals such as Ana Berrón of Lloyd’s Insurance Company and Lucía Relanzón of AEMES. With a maximum of three minutes per presentation, the participants demonstrated creativity and the ability to summarise. Closing and awards. The jury delivered its verdict at 13:45, recognising the most outstanding groups with prizes and commemorative photographs. The closing was led by Juan José Candela, Vice-President of FECOR, and José Luis González, Secretary-General. Cocktail and exclusive networking. The brokers and company representatives closed the day with a cocktail at the ASCCUAS restaurant, continuing the networking opportunities in a more relaxed atmosphere. This was made clear at the conference organised by FUNDAE, where experts, business owners and professionals discussed the future of this industry in a context of digitalisation and regulatory change. The event, which enjoyed strong participation, made it possible to analyse in depth the main challenges and opportunities the sector faces. One of the central topics of the debate was training. The urgent need for training to reach companies effectively and, above all, workers was highlighted. Training is not only a fundamental pillar for the sector’s competitiveness, but also an essential tool for adapting to new technologies and market demands. However, a recurring problem was pointed out: despite a wide training offer, the companies responsible for delivering it often do not carry it out properly, which makes it essential to guarantee access to quality training programmes and to accredit the acquired skills appropriately. The certification of knowledge and skills becomes an indispensable tool for professionalising the sector and ensuring its sustained growth. Likewise, the conference underlined the importance of new technologies in the leisure and entertainment industry. From the digitalisation of processes to the incorporation of innovative tools for event management and the user experience, the sector must commit to constant evolution to remain competitive. Training in these new technologies is key for the sector’s professionals to adapt and seize the opportunities offered by digital transformation. Among the conference’s featured speakers were key figures from the sector such as Ramón Mas, president of Spain de Noche, who welcomed the event, Ismael Fernández, Communication and IR Manager at Comunicación Estratégica, and Neus Cerdà, of Club Malasaña. In the second round table, entitled “Technology Applied to Entertainment”, moderated by Vicente Pizcueta, Miguel Ángel Larriba Concha, Sound Areas Coordinator at the Centre for Entertainment Technology (C.T.E.), and Brais Padín, founding partner and commercial director of Nevent, took part, addressing the role of technology in creating new recreational experiences and improving the economic performance of leisure venues. About the ECC

ECC (Electronic Communications Committee) is the Electronic Communications Committee within the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT). Its main function is to develop policies, regulations and technical recommendations to ensure the efficient use of the radio spectrum and electronic telecommunications in Europe.

Main functions of the ECC:

1. Radio spectrum management: It coordinates the allocation and use of the spectrum in Europe to avoid interference and ensure harmonious coexistence between radiocommunication services.
2. Regulations for electronic telecommunications: It develops technical recommendations and regulations in areas such as mobile telephony, the internet, satellite services, broadcasting and emerging technologies (5G, IoT, etc.).
3. International cooperation: It works with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the European Commission (EC) to align regulations and standards at global and regional level.
4. Innovation and digitalisation: It assesses new technologies and their impact on the spectrum and telecommunications in Europe.

A networking-oriented start

From 10:00, attendees began to arrive and took part in the registration, where they received promotional material. This initial moment served to foster networking and the exchange of ideas before the official start. At 10:30, Purificación González, Deputy Director at Pressdigital Group, welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of continuous training in a sector that is evolving at great speed. After the screening of an institutional video by CPS Photography Industries, the first round table began, moderated by Pablo Pastor, Head of Sectoral Development and Support at CPS. This debate featured key figures from the sector such as Inés Chacón Paz (ASPAPEL), José Antonio Pompa Garayzábal (FEIGRAF), Estefanía Caro Fernández (FSC-CCOO) and Javier Benítez (UGT Fica). During the conversation, the role of the CPS in adapting the sector to new technological trends was explored.

Technology and digitalisation as drivers of change

The following session began with the screening of the corporate video of CPS Graphic Arts, Paper and Cardboard Converting, Publishing and Related Industries. Then, the topic “Technological evolution and digital challenges in the sector” was addressed, with contributions from Fernando Rocha, technician at the School of Work of the CCOO Confederation, and Silvia Pinto, consultant and lecturer at the UAM and the UAM Foundation. The speakers analysed how digitalisation is transforming production processes and redefining the most sought-after professional profiles. The audience’s interest was evident in the Q&A round, where the challenges of technological implementation and the need for specific training for the sector’s workers were discussed. Afterwards, between 13:15 and 15:00, lunch was held, an ideal space to continue exchanging ideas and establish professional contacts.

Training and innovation: pillars for the future

In the afternoon, the day continued with the screening of the institutional video of CPS Pulp, Paper and Cardboard, which gave way to the round table “Adapting training needs to the sector’s innovation, digitalisation and sustainability challenges”. Again moderated by Purificación González, this session featured the participation of Joan Creus Oliveras (Gremi de Industrias Gráficas de Catalunya), Manuel Ángel Fernández Balanza (FSC-CCOO), Nuria Domingo (ALIER – ASPAPEL) and Rubén García (UGT), who discussed the importance of training to address the sector’s changes.

The event concluded with an intervention by Ignacio Villoch, an expert in innovation, talent and sustainability, who took stock of the day. In his closing speech, he underlined the importance of collaboration between trade unions, companies and educational institutions to achieve an effective transition towards a more digitalised and sustainable industrial environment.

A day to raise awareness about allergens in food

On 9 April, the Cofares Auditorium of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Complutense University of Madrid was the setting for the official presentation of the joint AESAN-EFSA campaign #Safe2EatEU. The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy, organised this event aimed at raising awareness about the risks and management of food allergens, within the framework of the European strategy for safer, better-informed food.

Institutional opening

The opening ceremony featured contributions from prominent figures from the academic and food-safety fields.

• The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ms Pilar Gómez-Serranillos, welcomed attendees, highlighting the institution’s commitment to research and scientific outreach in public health.
• Next, the Executive Director of AESAN, Ms Ana López-Santacruz Serraller, underlined the importance of awareness campaigns such as #Safe2EatEU in conveying to the public the value of clear and accurate information on food safety.
• This institutional block was closed by Mr Victorio Teruel, Deputy Director-General for Food Safety Management at AESAN, who highlighted the regulatory and scientific progress achieved in the management of allergens in Spain and Europe.

Round table: Allergens in food

The central core of the day was a round table of experts that addressed the issue of allergens in food from different perspectives: scientific, institutional, industrial and social. Moderated by the UCM Professor and member of the EFSA Panel on food allergens, Mª de la Montaña Cámara Hurtado, the round table featured the participation of:

• Irene Gadea, Area Head at the Subdirectorate-General for Food Safety Management.
• Araceli Díaz, member of the AESAN Scientific Committee.
• Enrico Frabetti, Director of Food Policy, Nutrition and Health at FIAB (Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries).
• Ángel Sánchez Sanz, President of the Spanish Association of People with Food and Latex Allergy (AEPNAA).

During their interventions, key issues were addressed, such as:

• The regulatory evolution in allergen labelling.
• The needs of people with allergies and their representation at institutional level.
• The challenges the food industry faces in managing cross-contamination.
• The fundamental role of scientific research in better understanding food allergic reactions and their prevention.

The event concluded with a lively Q&A session from attendees, who raised various concerns and proposals regarding food safety and allergens.

AESAN encouraged those present and society as a whole to follow the #Safe2EatEU campaign through official channels and social media, as a fundamental tool for achieving better food education and ensuring the safety of the most vulnerable consumers.

Our team was responsible for the technical secretariat, the management of registrations and the development of the seminar website, giving attendees access to all the information about the event: the programme, the workshops, the speakers and the download of accreditations.

The event focused on an essential issue: the wellbeing of the professionals who accompany suicide-crisis situations and who continuously face suffering, decision-making under pressure and emotional exhaustion.

The programme combined specialised talks, a round table, testimonials and practical workshops aimed at both professionals and the general public, creating a space for learning, reflection and mutual support.

One of the main objectives was to strengthen the project’s visibility and help its content reach diverse profiles: from companies interested in innovation to public bodies, technology centres and digital professionals.

Through this work, S22 Digital helped improve EuroCC Spain’s digital presence and communicate the strategic value of supercomputing in a more accessible way.
