Highlights of the 10th Technical Seminar on Social Welfare Systems

The Professional Association of the Senior Corps of Social Welfare Administration Technicians (ATASS) held its 10th Technical Seminar on June 2, reaffirming this forum as a key space for reflection and analysis on the present and future of the Corps.

The event was inaugurated by Ms. María Jesús Esteban Baos, President of ATASS, accompanied by Mr. Andrés Harto Martínez, Director General of the General Treasury of the Social Welfare System (TGSS); Ms. María del Carmen Armesto González-Rosón, Director General of the National Institute of Social Welfare (INSS); and Ms. Elena Martínez Carqués, Director of the Social Marine Institute.

During the opening session, the traditional ATASS Distinctions were awarded in recognition of outstanding careers within the Corps.

After a short break, two working sessions were held. The first focused on analyzing the current situation of the Corps, while the second centered on proposals and solutions for its strengthening and future development. Both sessions featured the active participation of practicing professionals, who shared their assessments and proposals based on direct experience.

The seminar concluded with closing remarks from the President of ATASS and the Secretary of State for Social Welfare and Pensions, Mr. Borja Suárez Corujo, highlighting the institutional commitment to professional development and the continuous improvement of the system.
