In the context of the COVID-19 health crisis, international mobility became one of the biggest challenges for the tourism sector. To address this situation, SEGITTUR (State Society for the Management of Innovation and Tourism Technologies), an entity under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, launched TravelSafe, a digital platform designed to provide clear, up-to-date, and reliable information on travel conditions worldwide.
S22 Digital was the company responsible for the technological development of this platform, designing an agile, accessible solution adaptable to a changing environment. TravelSafe allowed users—both travelers and industry professionals—to consult health and regulatory requirements between countries in real time: COVID tests, required certificates, quarantines, safety measures, and local regulations.
With a multilingual design, interactive maps, destination alerts, and easy navigation, TravelSafe established itself as an essential tool for restoring traveler confidence and facilitating the safe and responsible reactivation of tourism.
