📡🌟 ASTICNET 2024: A SUCCESSFUL NETWORK OF CONNECTIONS! 🌟📡

ASTICNET was held on June 6th and 7th at the Hotel Puerta de Segovia. This is the first time this event has taken place in the historic city of Segovia. For two days, ASTICNET brings together members of ASTIC, the Professional Association of Senior Officials of Information Systems and Technologies in Public Administrations, as well as leading companies in the technology sector. The objective is to promote the digital transformation of the public sector.

The opening day kicked off with an exciting golf tournament at La Faisanera Golf Course. Participants not only enjoyed the friendly competition but also took the opportunity to get to know each other better and engage in conversations in a relaxed and beautiful setting. Meanwhile, at the Hotel Puerta Segovia, attendees registered and began exploring the booths and the recording studio. The networking area, open from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., became the heart of the event. Here, professionals from various sectors exchanged ideas, discussed projects, and forged connections that will undoubtedly last beyond the event itself.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was the performance by Leonardo Sáez, winner of the 2021 National Street Magic Award. This magic show not only entertained the attendees but also served as a unique opportunity to socialize and share a common experience, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship.

As the afternoon progressed, the official photograph at the ASTIC photocall brought together ASTIC President Leonor Torres and Javier Sáez from the ASTIC Board, capturing a special moment that symbolized the unity and collaborative spirit of the event. Later, in the Peñalara Garden, the official opening of ASTICNET 2024 featured speeches from prominent figures, underscoring the importance of the event and setting a tone of collaboration and a focus on the digital future. The cocktail reception in the garden provided the perfect opportunity for attendees to enjoy good food and conversation in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. This moment was key to strengthening the relationships established during the day and opening new opportunities for collaboration. The evening was enlivened by the musical duo Bea Montero and Javier Bruna, whose musical talent added a special touch to the night. During the break, the prizes for the golf and padel tournaments were awarded, recognizing the achievements of the participants and celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and community. The evening culminated with an open bar in the garden of the Hotel Puerta Segovia, where music and drinks created a festive atmosphere that allowed attendees to relax and continue building connections in a more informal setting.

On June 7, the event moved to the Auditorium of the Hotel Puerta Segovia. After additional registration, the President of ASTIC, Leonor Torres, welcomed the attendees, followed by an official video opening by José Luis Escrivá, Minister of Digital Transformation and Public Administration. His speech set the stage for a day of learning and collaboration.

The roundtables and presentations were interspersed with coffee breaks, providing further networking opportunities. During these breaks, attendees discussed the topics covered in the sessions, shared their own experiences, and continued to build valuable relationships. The importance of data, artificial intelligence, and people as the driving force behind digitalization were among the key themes debated, providing rich content for the conversations.

The event concluded with a closing conference and official closing ceremony, followed by lunch, which allowed attendees to continue the discussions in a more relaxed atmosphere. In the afternoon, a visit to the Royal Glass Factory in La Granja de San Ildefonso brought a memorable day to a close.
