S22 Digital organised ASTICNET 2025, the flagship annual congress of the Professional Association of Senior Corps of Information Systems and Technologies of the Public Administrations (ASTIC), held on 2, 3 and 4 July 2025 at the Hotel Beatriz Auditorium in Toledo. Under the theme “España 2026: Liderazgo y Estrategia en la Era Digital” (Spain 2026: Leadership and Strategy in the Digital Era), ASTICNET brought together senior institutional officials, technology experts and public-sector professionals to address the challenges, opportunities and innovations shaping digital transformation in the public administration. The event established itself as a key space for knowledge exchange where, through talks and round tables, best practices, success stories and the main technological trends were shared. The congress also fostered inter-institutional collaboration and the generation of synergies aimed at driving digital development for the benefit of citizens.

Programme and Highlights

The main day, on 4 July, featured a notable institutional presence. The welcome was given by Leonor Torres, president of ASTIC, followed by the official opening by Óscar López, Minister for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service. Among the most relevant content, the following stood out:

• The talk “Espacios de Datos en Sanidad” (Health Data Spaces), given by Juan Fernando Muñoz Montalvo, of the Ministry of Health.
• Round tables on disruptive technologies, cybersecurity and inter-administrative collaboration, with the participation of representatives of public bodies and leading technology companies.
• The intervention of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS), focused on supercomputing capabilities.
• The closing conference by José Borja Tomé, of the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT).

Pre-Event Activities and Networking

The congress kicked off on 2 July with preliminary activities, such as a padel tournament at Club El Estudiante (Alcobendas). 3 July was dedicated to networking, with a golf tournament in Layos (Toledo), welcome sessions, immersive mixed-reality experiences and an exclusive cocktail for accredited attendees. By organising ASTICNET 2025, S22 Digital reinforced its role as a driver of strategic initiatives in the field of digital transformation of the public sector, contributing to a more innovative, efficient and citizen-centred administration.
