OPC Madrid presents the Professionalism and Innovation Awards

On January 21, 2025, more than one hundred professionals from the events sector gathered at the Hotel Nuevo Boston in Madrid for the OPC Madrid Annual DinnerUnder the leadership of David Abreu, president of the association, the evening served as a meeting point to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of the industry, as well as to recognize excellence through the presentation of prestigious awards.

During the event, Madrid’s leadership in the events sector and the importance of maintaining this position in the future were highlighted. Carolina Toledo, Deputy Director General of Tourism Promotion for the Community of Madrid, and Héctor Coronel, Director of Tourism for the Madrid City Council, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of working together to boost the sector in the region.

One of the most significant moments of the evening was the presentation of the Innovation Award, given to AV Medios for its Brainmap project. This knowledge management web application, based on artificial intelligence, allows for the extraction of key concepts and connections from event content, reaffirming the industry’s commitment to technological innovation.

The dinner concluded with a monologue by Roberto Gontán, which added a touch of humor and relaxation, thus closing an evening that marked the sector’s reunion after the Christmas holidays and the start of a promising year for the events and conference industry.
