🎥 On 9 April, European Wool Day was held. An event broadcast by S22 Digital. The Museo del Traje in Madrid hosted the 2nd European Wool Day on 9 April, organised this year by Spain and promoted by the European Wool Exchange Foundation (EWE), which is made up of organisations across the continent that share the common aim of adding value to European wool, explains the project coordinator of the association Trashumancia y Naturaleza, Concha Salguero. For this edition, Spain organised a virtual gathering with the participation of organisations dedicated to textile innovation and craftsmanship, weavers, livestock farms and other organisations committed to revaluing wool — an event that will be rounded off with activities in several countries under the slogan ‘Wellbeing, education and art’ to emphasise its use in textile craftsmanship as a natural fibre of great social and environmental value. 👉 Thanks to Esperanza Orellana (Director-General of Agricultural Production and Markets and A1 civil servant of the National Veterinary Corps, FEDECA) and to Margrethe Vestager (Executive Vice-President for a Europe Fit for the Digital Age) for supporting the #iniciativa of European Wool Exchange Foundation – EWE
