Organising the 1st Island Congress of Social and Healthcare Experiences (Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife)

The Island Congress of Social and Healthcare Experiences, organised by the Social Action Department of the Cabildo de Tenerife through its Dependency Care Unit and produced by S22 Digital, established itself as a pioneering space in the Canary Islands for the exchange of knowledge and the building of alliances around the care of dependent people. More than 500 attendees, including professionals, technicians and representatives of third-sector organisations, gathered over two days that brought together a dozen leading speakers in the social and healthcare field.

Opening and Institutional Vision

The opening ceremony was chaired by the Councillor for Social Action, Águeda Fumero, who highlighted the importance of enabling forums such as this one, where sharing experiences contributes directly to improving the quality of life of dependent people. Fumero underlined the Cabildo’s commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and to creating a solid network between administrations and social organisations to provide specialised, close and increasingly needs-adapted services.
