Technical Seminar for the Service Station Sector

The day began promptly at 10:00 a.m. with the official presentation of the CPS (Sectoral Joint Commission) by Miguel Ángel Calle García, president of the commission. His speech was accompanied by an institutional video introducing the key role of training as a driver for sectoral transformation. Calle emphasized the need to update skills and provide quality training to workers.

This was followed by a roundtable titled “Training Needs in the Service Station Sector: Present and Future,” moderated by Luis Alberto Rodríguez (CCOO Industria). Participants included:

• Víctor García Nebreda (Aeescam and Aevecar)
• Juan Aurelio Peñalver Garrido and Luis Escribano Hernández (Repsol)
• Roberto Mora (UGT) and Isabel Fernández (CCOO Industria)

Next, Nacho Rabadán, General Director of CEEES, delivered a clear and impactful presentation on regulatory changes driven by the European Union, the Green Deal, and their direct impact on service stations.

Following his presentation, attendees enjoyed a coffee break, providing an informal networking opportunity.

At 12:00 p.m., the final session began: “Immediate Future of the Sector: New Fuels, Sustainability, and Energy Evolution,” moderated by Nuria Pérez (UGT). Speakers included:

• José Manuel Continente Muro (Ministry of Economy, Community of Madrid)
• José Luis Vidal Montero (Redexis)
• Fernando Ley (Oil & Gas and H2V)
• Sara Martín Cabrera (Repsol)

This panel highlighted that the sector stands at a turning point, where innovation, sustainability, and professional training must advance hand in hand.
