His presentation set the tone for the discussions, highlighting the importance of addressing inequalities in advanced societies of the 21st century.<\/p>\n<p>At 10:15 a.m., Valpy Fitzgerald, Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Oxford, presented &#8220;Forms of Poverty in Advanced Societies of the 21st Century,&#8221; followed by a lively debate at 11:00 a.m. Later, at 12:00 p.m., Carlos Berzosa, Emeritus Professor of Economics at the Complutense University of Madrid, addressed &#8220;Global Challenges of Inequality in the 21st Century,&#8221; before a coffee break at 11:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The afternoon session began at 4:00 p.m. with a presentation by Inma Pastor Gos\u00e1lbez, Professor of Sociology at Rovira i Virgili University. Marina Subirats, Professor Emerita of Sociology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, \u200b\u200bdiscussed &#8220;Gender Inequality and the Feminist Movement in Spain&#8221; at 4:15 p.m. The presentations continued with \u00c1ngel Belzunegui, Professor of Sociology at Rovira i Virgili University, speaking on &#8220;Inequalities and Social Dualities&#8221; at 5:00 p.m., followed by a coffee break at 5:45 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Olga Salido Cort\u00e9s and Ildefonso Marqu\u00e9s, Professors of Sociology at Complutense University of Madrid and the University of Seville, respectively, explored &#8220;Social Mobility in Spain&#8221; \u00c1ngel Belzunegui opened the session at 9:30 a.m., followed by Sandra Fachelli and Pedro L\u00f3pez-Rold\u00e1n, who discussed &#8220;Social Inequalities in the Spanish Labor Market&#8221; at 9:45 a.m. At 10:30 a.m., Jos\u00e9 P\u00e9rez Montiel presented &#8220;Income Distribution and Social Inequality.&#8221; After a coffee break at 11:15 a.m., Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Tezanos discussed &#8220;Trends in Social Stratification in Spain (Part 1)&#8221; at 11:45 a.m. The morning session concluded with Obdulia Taboadela speaking on &#8220;The Middle Classes in Spain&#8221; at 12:30 p.m., followed by a discussion at 1:15 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>In the afternoon, Ver\u00f3nica D\u00edaz Moreno opened the session at 4:00 p.m. with a presentation on &#8220;Gender and Age Inequalities.&#8221; At 4:15 p.m., Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Tezanos and \u00d3scar Iglesias presented &#8220;Trends in Social Stratification in Spain (Part 2).&#8221; Hilde S\u00e1nchez Morales closed the presentations with &#8220;Poverty and Social Exclusion as Problems in Contemporary Societies&#8221;
