It is always enriching to learn more about such important figures in the sociology of our country. After studying Law, Salustiano trained as a sociologist at the University of Chicago, where he was an assistant professor. His return to Spain brought with him his doctoral thesis, &#8220;The Spanish Family in Transition,&#8221; which was awarded the Extraordinary Prize. He was elected to the Royal Academy of Moral and Political Sciences and presided over the Institute of Spain, in addition to leading the creation of the UNESCO Dictionary of Social Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>A life dedicated to the knowledge, research, and dissemination of sociology leaves an extraordinary legacy and an example to follow.
