S22 Digital organised and coordinated the participation of the Comisi\u00f3n Paritaria Sectorial del Calzado<\/strong> (Footwear Sector Joint Committee) at FUTURMODA 2026<\/strong>, the International Trade Show of Components, Tanning, Textiles and Machinery for Footwear and Leather Goods, held on 4 and 5 March 2026 at IFA-Fira Alacant, in Elche<\/strong>. The event reached its 55th edition<\/strong> and once again established Elche as one of the main meeting points for the footwear support industry. The Committee’s participation in this environment made it possible to highlight professional training<\/strong> as a strategic tool to support the sector’s transformation. In an industry marked by the evolution of materials, process digitalisation, sustainability, the circular economy and the demand for new qualified profiles, training positioned itself as a key factor in strengthening the competitiveness of companies and workers.<\/p>\n

The Footwear Sector Joint Committee, made up of the most representative business and trade union organisations in the sector, plays an essential role in identifying training needs, defining the criteria and priorities of the sector’s training offer, and promoting actions aimed at improving professional qualifications. Its work helps adapt training to the productive reality of footwear and to the specific challenges of an industry in full transformation.<\/p>\n

As part of FUTURMODA 2026, the Committee was able to bring its activity closer to companies, manufacturers, suppliers, professionals, training bodies and stakeholders linked to the sector. The trade show brought together more than 4,100 professional visitors and had broad national and international participation, reinforcing its role as a business, innovation and knowledge platform for footwear and leather goods.<\/p>\n

In addition, this edition incorporated spaces and content focused on innovation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, digitalisation and the circular economy, areas directly linked to the sector’s new training needs. Issues such as eco-design, the Digital Product Passport and specialised training were also addressed, elements that are increasingly relevant to the industry’s competitiveness.<\/p>\n

S22 Digital worked on the organisation, coordination and development of this initiative, facilitating the Committee’s presence in a high-value sector environment. The aim was to contribute to raising awareness of the available training programmes, to highlight the importance of collaboration between business and trade union organisations, and to reinforce the message that professional qualification is an essential lever for tackling the sector’s new challenges.<\/p>\n

Participation in FUTURMODA 2026 made it possible to convey a clear message to the sector: the transformation of footwear does not depend solely on innovation in materials, technology or machinery, but also on the people who make that evolution possible.
