On 27 September, the doors of the historic Teatro Juan Bravo opened for an occasion that will remain etched in the cultural and creative memory of Segovia: Sostejible<\/strong>, a unique gathering where textile sustainability and innovation came together under the banner of upcycling. For more than ten hours, the city became an epicentre of reflection, inspiration and talent, with fashion as the common language and sustainability as the shared commitment.<\/p>\n

Opening and Round Tables<\/h4>\n

The day began at 11:00 with the round table \u00abTextile Strategy 2030: Towards Sustainable Fashion under the New EU Legislation\u00bb<\/strong>, moderated by Elvira Torres Benito<\/strong>, CEO of S22 Digital. In a lively and necessary debate, experts such as Marcos Pizarro (Venus and ASECOM)<\/strong>, Ra\u00fal Gonz\u00e1lez Miguel (AMES)<\/strong> and Gabriel L\u00f3pez Samanes (State Attorney)<\/strong> shared analyses and perspectives on the regulatory challenges that will shape the future of the sector. The discussion shed light on the key role of the Ecodesign Regulation and the Digital Product Passport, giving the audience a clear vision of the horizon of fashion in Europe.<\/p>\n

At 12:00, the conversation turned into practical inspiration thanks to the panel \u00abUpcycling in Action\u00bb<\/strong>, where projects such as Tricotra, Pau Studio, Soy Sibara and Eco Dedal<\/strong> showed that innovation is already a tangible reality. The shared experiences were living testimony to how Spanish design, and that of Castilla y Le\u00f3n in particular, manages to reinvent discarded materials into pieces of aesthetic and social value.<\/p>\n

Workshops and Experiences<\/h4>\n

Midday was marked by shared creativity. Planeta Dots<\/strong> led a participatory workshop that invited the audience to experience sustainable dynamics first-hand. In the afternoon, at 16:30, the programme opened up to new audiences with a children’s storytelling session organised by XRC Experiencias Inmersivas<\/strong>, demonstrating that environmental awareness can and must begin in childhood, using play and storytelling as vehicles for transformation.<\/p>\n

Upcycling Runway<\/h4>\n

The excitement reached its peak at 18:00 with the great upcycling show<\/strong>, creatively directed by Manuel Beltr\u00e1n<\/strong>. The runway became a visual manifesto that combined aesthetics, innovation and awareness, with proposals that proved fashion can be a driver of change. Labels of different profiles and trajectories, from established to emerging, thrilled the audience with striking collections: Blac-K, Eco Dedal, Espa\u00f1a \u00danica, Gessica Marinho, Inma and Kate, Luc & Lia, Mar\u00eda La Fuente, Pau Studio, Planeta Dots, Soy Sibara, Strambotica, Tricotra and Venus<\/strong>. Each one brought its own particular stamp, from conceptual experimentation to the reinterpretation of craftsmanship, all united by the same thread: transforming waste into beauty and awareness.<\/p>\n

A Space for a Shared Future<\/h4>\n

With this proposal, Sostejible<\/strong> established itself as more than an event: it was a space for reflection and action, where fashion was conceived, shared and reinvented with an eye to the future. The diverse and participatory audience was able to tour exhibitions, attend debates and be inspired by collections that showed that sustainability is not a passing trend, but a transformative urgency.<\/p>\n
